To those participating on the 35-mile ride, PLEASE arrive by 7:00 AM to register or pickup your T-shirt or ready your bike or primp for the day .... AND then meet me and other WCCC participants at St. Francis of Assisi Church (front steps), 813 W. Roosevelt at 7:30 AM. Take a spin through Chicago’s North Side neighborhoods and near North Shore communities on Sunday, August 25, 2013.

From the website:

Every participant will receive a punch card that they can redeem for three delicious samples along their route. Ready for delicious samples of Chicago cuisine? Sign up now!

Samosas from Arya Bhavan: What sets these samosas apart is that they are baked, rather than fried, and the dough is made using organic unbleached flour. The samosas will be filled with potatoes, green peas and Indian spices.

Pierogies from Red Apple Buffet: Riders will be able to try three different kinds of pierogi: sauerkraut and mushroom, potato and cheese and meat. The pierogies will be lightly fried so they are slightly crisp on the outside and easy to eat on the go.

Thai food from Star of Siam: Chicago’s famous Thai cuisine, riders will enjoy samples of vegetarian spring rolls, shrimp steamed shumai and chicken potstickers.

BBQ pork mini-sliders from Smoke Daddy: Enjoy these BBQ pork sliders with meat that is smoked in-house with homemade sauce from one of Chicago’s top BBQ joints.
